Rainwater Harvesting Series

Bandera County Extension Agent Warren Thigpen hosts the fifth in a series of Rainwater Harvesting Seminars.

Rainwater capture can save large amounts of water both outside and inside the home. As our population grows, conserving water will become more vital. The Rainwater Harvesting Series is designed to help you with all aspects of rainwater capture. This 2-hour program will focus on all aspects of planning and installing a rainwater harvesting system to furnish all your household needs. Potable and non-potable water will be covered.

The Silver Sage hosts the AgriLife rainwater harvesting demonstration model. You'll see our guttering and capture system as well as our 5,000 gallon water tank.

Mr. Billy Kniffen, Water Resource Specialist with Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be the guest speaker at many of these meetings.
